ITR Prices
I just joined honda-tech and i was wondering what i can expect to pay for a 00/01 ITR with under 40k miles, dont know if color makes a difference but preference is either cw or nbp/fbp. Any help on this would be appreciated
*This has probably been asked before so if it has sorry in advance*

My cousin just picked up his R from a local dealership with 17000 miles for 13,800 and traded in his civic for 3000. The total cost was 16,800. He got a really good deal. Previous owner was a girl
It depends on where you are looking for one and also depends on how knowledgable the dealer/seller is. If they know what they have, you can expect to pay around 18000-20000. A deal like my cousin's is very rare.

supply and demand.
All depends on how much you want to spend. You can expect to see a wide range of prices from $25,00 to $17,000 for a 00/01 itr.
But if you want ill sell you my 98 with less than 40k miles to you for 19k let me know

With the amount of used R's on the market and introduction of the Lancer EVO VIII ITR's are definetly not fetching what they were 8 to 12 months ago in the used car market. A perfect example is my friend Al who had his ITR sold to a local kid for $21K, the kid wasn't financing the car he was actually gonna pay cash for it...
Till he test drove a new EVO and dropped a $20K down pay on a brand new black EVO. Again, anyone hpoing to fetch any serious money for an R will have to wait a few years till they are 99% extinct...
BTW, I have every intention on getting an EVO VIII, but not until next year once the price gouging disappears, and I've made enough payments on my golf to not owe more than it's worth.

The insurance company just gave me $25,300 for my stolen ITR w/22k on it. Stock, except for fogs and bra. I had them pay for the tax as well.
My new itr is costing 13k, I am picking up tomorrow am!
fyi: evo's can be had for msrp, it's all how you negotiate it.

hol-e-**** that is a lot of markup! I know 2 people who've gotten for msrp in the philadelphia area. The owner of the ITR i'm buying just picked one up last week for msrp. I checked it out today, the thing is fvcking sick! The wheels/brakes/rotors alone are mindblowing. The cf wing also doesn't hurt!(And $480 is dirt cheap for the wing)
The 2 owners just flat out said(over the phone) they would buy today if they got it for msrp. Money talks, but as you pointed out; the nyc area is much more crowded compared to the amount of dealers available. Mean car indeed. Tomorrow I take ownership of my new R, and I get to take the evo for a spin!
Mike- who's been driving a POS '03 lancer for 5 weeks now, just not the evo.
[edit- I should add that they paid right about 30k with the wing.]

wow.. 40K?
hehehe... I saw tons of EVO sitting at the Dealership...
I might get it as daily driver so I can keep my R in the garage.. LoL..
need 4 door practicality..
and yes.. ITR price are going down.. and considering the amount of $ I put into it.. I'd keep it till the end...

I say a 00 or 01 model with less than 40,000 miles on it is worth somewhere between $18,000-23,000 depending on condition and supply in your local area.
I have approximately 39,000 miles on my car and it's a 2001, I think it's worth $21,000 because of it's condition.

the dealership out here is selling the EVO VIII for msrp, but they are only getting 4 of them for the whole year. But the guy at the dealershiip also noted that there aren't going to be anymore next year. 5,000 total for this year and none for next year...is this correct?

of course. mitsubishi did all the advertising for this car because they want to lose money.

$40k is a whole lot, but believe it or not the mitsu dealer in my city wants almost $50k for it. I walked in, saw the price, walked out, salesman tried to say someting to me but i just ignored it and went out the door.l I wish I had a digi cam to take a pic of that sticker
