Default Swap Info

Hey everyone I was wondering if i could get your help with something. My question is what would I have to do or get in able to put a GSR motor into my 97 Ex Coupe? Your feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!!

take out your EX motor.....then put in the GSR motor.

no, you need a 99-00 civic SI rear engine mount

but other than that, yeah, plug and play

lol, i'm pretty sure you will need different mounts, it will fit in it however you will need shift linkage, and some additional wiring.

lol, i'm pretty sure you will need different mounts, it will fit in it however you will need shift linkage, and some additional wiring.
you will need everything a complete swap comes with, plus 99-00 SI rear engine mount (like i said)

additional wiring? he is already wired for VTEC, its an EX, scratch that. you will have to wire up a knock sensor though, not hard. and if you get a GSR swap, you need to wire up the intake mani solenoid.

i am curious on one thing. peopel are always saying u need the 99-00 si rear mount to do a b series swap into a 96-00 civic. now i know thats right but i want to know what mount people were using b4 the 99-00 si came out. like u know back in 96-98 what were people using to do their gsr swaps b4 the si's came out any one know???

they were modifying the stock integra rear engine mount.

well, you run a wire from the device, to the ECU.

you dont need to change the ecu? i'v never done it, i'd like to know
yes, you do. like i said, you need to change everything that comes with a complete engine swap pakage.
