Engine swap woes ........ car won't star, please help.
I just finished installing a H22 into a 98 civic. The H22 is a Y2k, and I am trying to use the ecu that it came with so I won't have troubles with emissions. I removed what I thought was the immobilizer, and tried to start it, but it won't start. So I checked some things, and I do have pressure in the fuel line( about 40 psi) but when I removed the spark plug, it was dry, and no gas smell. Did I remove the wrong chip? Isn't the immobilizer chip HIC1? The archive searching doesn't work, so I can't find any info. Please help? I really want to get this thing started tonight. Thanks in advance.
if u have a friend with a lude maybe u can borrow his ecu just to check ....if u took the wrong chip out i too thought it was the hic1 but its hard to tell u what u did wrong unless i see a pic of the ecu....
Well, I used the stock civic ecu to see if it would start, but it didn't. There was gas, and it sparks but it still won't start. I was gonna check if i plugged up the injectors in the correct order, but is there anything else i should check? Could I have messed up on the wiring? Thanks.
Check your ECU Fuse, It is in the box rear the battery. It think it is a 15A fuse. That what happened to me.
Well we got a aem ems, and checked all of the fuses and it still won't start.
I also checked the cap, rotor and they seem fine, and I got new wires too. Can someone please help me? This is driving me nuts!
*edit* I tried the stock civic dx ecu, and it kinda seems like its wants to start, but it still doesn't. There is some type of combustion.

check you timing or your grounds, if you have gas fire and good compression it will crank if timing is right. timing and grounds are notorious for disabling swaps
