Ok i was looking at my bank website and i notice my auto insurance is 1580!!!

i used to pay around 800 in south carolina, and when i moved to Ga it went up to around 1200.

I called my USAA auto insurance and asked them what happen? and they told me that car rating for ITR is now 3 instead of 2 and its not just in GA...it is national rating for it.

Plus my good student discount is out so that kind of sucked.
i might have to buy a beater with some boooooooost like willard and store my itr for while

I pay $580/6months full coverage for 95 gsr coupe. IMO you should consult another insurance company..there is alot of money I bet you can save.....

Young - get a beater. Just find something that rolls & passes emission. Your combined insurance will drop as ITR will be a 2ndary car. That's only thing you can do. Unless, you marry tomorrow or turn 25 in a few years.

Or get your parents to insure it. My car + mom's 4Runner + dad's Tundra, all full coverage is $4000 anually.

I bought my 01 LS @ 19, clean record. Wrecked it for $13.6K, they fixed it. I got a ticket for speeding, even though the cop wasn't there. (80 in a 65).

My insurance went from $13xx/6mo to $1704/6mo. I traded the LS in for the R in Oct 02, my insurance went up to $1767/6mo. I turn 21 on the 29th of this month & my agent is a family friend.

 

Nope.. it has stayed the same since since purchase... ~$900/year for both cars.

 

mine's stayed pretty much the same for the past 3 years, went up a bit in the 2nd year by like $200 over the course of the year so no big deal. I'm paying $2400 Canadian/year

Right now my R is stored in the garage w/o insurance because it was so high ( 2000.00/6 months). So I got insurance for a beater, now my 6 months is almost up and I'm going to call AIS and see what kind of deal they can give me.

 

I just got notice in the mail that my insurance is going DOWN by $350 this year. The only difference is that my insurance runs a credit check every few years and if your credit is good, your rates drop. I've never heard of such a thing, but I'm not going to complain either. I guess doing a debt consolidation loan was a smart idea after all.

Allstate will give you a 'general' quote, assuming you're a 3 of 5 credit score (according to them).

1 is better, 5 is worse. The rates get adjusted accordingly.

 

$720 full coverage 6 months... Progressive. Paid off
