Default Expo3: Lets make this clear

Your cars condition and equipment is your responsibility. We wrote rules that any stock Integra Type-R would pass with no issue. We cannot and will not be held accountable for these modifications you have made and refunds are not available because your mods don't pass tech.

You signed up under your own cognizance and agreed to our terms by checking the box before registering.

If need be, put your car back to stock. I have worked my *** off on this Expo and people crying about a seatbelt and the time they will have to take to swap one out is of little consequence to me. I have spent hundreds of hours on this so if someone has to spend a couple hours to prep their car to pass tech so be it.

I have been threatened with legal action because I will not refund someone's money and they have yet to even consult George and Morgan about the issue. This has pushed me over the edge and I am starting to lose my patience. I am doing everything I can to accommodate everyone so if you all expect me to be reasonable you had better plan to be reasonbable as well.

I thought this was made clear from the beginning, before registration had even opened.

Abide by the rules or do not run on the track.

Seems fair to me.

without a roll bar you can have 4pt or stock seatbelts only, and we would wan tot take a look at the 4pt to make sure it does not restrict movement away from a collasping roof in any way

having a roll bar means you need 5pt or 6pt harnesses

this is non-negotiable

if you need help installing you stock belts back in or putting new harnesses into the car bring them to the track and we will see what we can do

I'm willing to lend a hand with any work that needs to be done, spur of the moment to meet tech requirements.

There's no reason why anyone should leave this event disappointed.

That is almost verbatim what I have said. The most i can do for anyone is pitch in and help. I don't mind getting dirty but we didn't save money for refunds.

I understood it to be without a roll bar only factory belts.
With roll bar 5 or 6 point harness,or factory belt.

Roll Bars/Cages: Roll bars are advised for the event, but not required. (In the event a non-ITR participates in the event, this rule will be reviewed.) Any roll bar must be able to withstand the compression forces involved in the supporting the full weight of the car in extremely adverse circumstances. All cars with roll bars and roll cages must meet the NASA CCR requirements, must be mounted correctly according to the NASA CCR, and all roll bars and roll cages must be adequately padded with the correct material.
I am using a 4 point Autopower bar,but due to the fact that I still have factory seats,I was planning on using factory belts.
Sorry, not trying to create confrontation, but gain some clarity.

I hope that is an April fools joke. I've never heard of this policy and was never mentioned prior to this! It makes sense that you can't use a harness without a rollbar but why would you not be able to have a roll bar with factory seats and belts? This would require you to have a pair of FIA approved seats with sub belt hole and 5 or 6pt harnesses. NASA has never had any issues with factory seats and belts with roll bar!

OK, I think there are too many "authorities" bluring the rules now.

(2)All references to harnesses assumes that there is an approved
rollover system in place. If you do not have rollover protection, you
will have to use OEM belts, and they must work correctly with whatever
seats you have.
This does NOT say you can't use OEM belts with rollover protection.

also,

The driver and any passenger must utilise modern stock seatbelts in very good condition, or an approved restraint system. Harnesses are not allowed without approved rollover protection, and harnesses must be of a pre-approved design including an antisubmarine belt.
This prohibits 4 points due to the lack of anti-submarine belt. So 4 points are not allowed with any seat, stock or not. Or any state of rollover protection, or lack thereof.

I'm just quoting the written rules, George get back to me if I am incorrect but I think urbanlegend is reading from a different set of rules than I have.. and I would hope that I'd have a currect copy.

Actally there is one manufacturer that has a DOT approved 4 point with anti submarine technology built into the belt for high speed crashes. Schroth rally 3 and rally 4 belts will work. Because they are DOT approved with the anti sub technology, they can be used on the street. Thats an FYI, dont mean it as they will be allowed at the expo, but they are great belts and legal on the street and safe as well as approved by all racing organizations.

They do have ASM. I've never tested them to see if they work. But like you said, they will NOT be allowed at expo because they still don't have a anti-submarine belt.
