I just noticed in my car I just got (2001 EX 2-door), used, that when i open the driver's side door, the dome light doesn't come on, but it does for the passenger's side... Could it be a fuse? Is there a seperate fuse for the door opening circuit for each door, or what? I dunno whats up...

 

did you check the bulb?

 

I don't think the bulb has a problem, it works when i open the passenger door, but not the driver's door. I wonder if something isn't making a contact in the door or what!

 

hey... i have that same problem right now on my 98 civic coupe. if anyone knows how to fix this id appreciate it too.

 

its either your drivers side door switch or the wiring for it.

 

yeah, door switch, or how good does your drivers door line up? it may have been wrecked, and not be pushing it in far enough. but its probably the door switch. people who have owned big cars will buy hondas and slam the **** out of the doors, messing up the switch.
