with proper tuning you will be fine with 93 octane under 12:1 compression. engine mangament is a stock p73 (awaiting) (i personally have 11.6 in an lsvtec)

I only have 91 octane in my area. with hondata i drove around untuned for over a month with no problems. and actually no knock sensor either

not that i doubt everybody, but you really don't know the extent of damage until you look at the internals...for example if you have no knock sensor how could you know there is no damaging predetonation? when you hear a knock or ping, the motor has already been gathering damage...no doubt the motor could be run for a while, but safe? not always clear plus we are yet to get hit with some hot weather in most of the country...

I'm personally running around 11.5cr, a mugen chipped P08 ecu (disabled KS), and 91 octane.
No pinging issues at all.

11.5-12.0:1 you'll be fine with 92.... You can get away with up to ~13.0:1 on the same but the tuning margin is greatly decreased... Still no detonation... TUNING IS EVERYTHING but you should have absolutely NO problems with 11.5:1... Latez
93 octane and hondata management. However, my Spec B's have enough overlap to reduce compression a bit, so I would guess this is running w/ about 12-12.1 cr.
12+ compression running on 91 octane with chipped p28. It was untuned for 6 months and when I took it all apart everything was clean as hell.
Thanks for all the replies. Good to see many set-ups running similar to what I'm working on running on pump gas.
a little higher than 12:1 ls/vtec and was running on 93 even before the car was tuned and ran perfect

93 octane on b20/vtec, 12.5 comp. ran 3 months untuned with little problems, now hondata tuned and it's been running great for the last 2 years.
