Default 1" master cylinder swap

Is it possible to mount a booster/MC from a GSR or ITR into a 4th gen? I know a 90 Civic Sedan MC or 90 Integra booster/MC will fit but Im trying to find a 1" MC upgrade.

Thanks,

you will hate yourself if you ever attempt this. the lines (only 1 i think) is on the wrong side, and it would be a good idea, too, to use like an Si or GSR booster, which is a tight fit.

Just get a 90-91 EX Sedan 15/16 ones, almost 1'' but so much easier to put in.

I used a 93 teg (w/ ABS) MC/booster and the fitting was kind of a pain but it works. With the stock front brakes the pedal is super stiff. It was less stiff (and more likely to lock em up with crap tires) with the teg front brakes on.

If you want to use the 1" MC from a DC, you'll need the booster and then you'll have to re-bend one of your lines (location depends on which year MC).

If you want to use the 1" MC from a DA (ALB) like Ben said, you'll need the booster and then reflare one of your lines.

If you want to ues the 15/16" MC from a 88-91 Prelude?/86-89 Accord?/90-91 Civic EX? then you just need the MC and barely bend one of your lines a tiny bit.

90-91 Integra 4 door = stock line location, but need the integra booster

90 Civic EX 4 door = stock line location, use your current booster

I think Im gonna try getting a LS/GS abs booster/MC to get the car ready for bigger brakes.

It has a teg 15/16" one in already but Im gonna transfer that into my road Civic. Actually, I tried removing the 15/16" booster/MC tonight but got stopped by the end-most flare nut which was rounding off, even with the flare nut wrench I bought. Since that one needs to be reflared anyway, can I just cut that line or will it be to short when I need to reflare/reconnect it?

Thanks guys.

Although they both are a two bolt pattern, the bolt pattern is different.

G2 teg ABS (LS/GS/GSR) MC's are all 1", the non ABS ones are 15/16.

Proelite,

It is for my CRX which I use for lapping etc. Getting ready for some bigger brakes.

I just transferred the 15/16" teg booster/MC I had in the rex to my road Civic tonight. All done except I couldnt bleed the left rear wheel as the 14 year old 8mm bleeder screw is rounded. Pedeal feels firm enough though so Im gonna see if I can get a new bleeder screw and put a vice grip to that old one.
