I have 02 blacl ep, 6k miles, intake off ls integra and a testpipe... 15.2@89 with garabe tires... I figure with all the work your friend has ill be low 14's. But that is a strong run for a heavier car. What was the mph?

LOL, whats funny is your car is heavier. The Base RSX weighs less than the EP3.

However, the Civic Si has shorter gear ratios.

Well I can't say it has been confirmed yet, but many people have been weighing their stock Si at ~2650 pounds (rougly 100lbs less than what Honda says)...don't know if base/S RSX owners are finding similar differences, but thought it was worth mentioning in this argument over weight.

Well I was not aware, that the base model rsx weighed less, according to HOnda. I weighed mine and i got about 2650 also... So i was wrong, but Honda is off too. Still think im moving pretty good...

its my first time posting on honda-tech and thought this is a nice place to start posting...there is two different weight for the new EPs because some comes with side airbags and some don't, i got mine with side air bag and its like 2744lbs and without it its like 100+ some lbs less...i hope this helps

You can't be serious. 100 pounds for two small inserts in the passenger cabin??? Honda itself has quoted the difference at 8 pounds. SRS equipped Si weighs 2752 lbs. 2744 is for Si w/o SRS. Have you seen the side airbags??? Just looking at it is enough to know they don't weigh 50 lbs a piece. I don't mean to flame, but that is just misinformation at its finest.

oh **** sorry, my bad... Curb Weight (lbs.) 2744 / 2752 (w/side airbags), i sware i saw in the manual that there was a 100lbs difference...sorry
