Default Hydro or Cable Tranny

I'm looking for some feedback. I have to decide soon whether or not to install the B18C5, with the stock hydro tranny, or sell it and buy a less expensive cable, and add an LSD. I am aware that the hydro tranny takes a considerable amount of effort to install, but either way I am just looking to see if the Type-R tranny is worth the effort!

Its all up to you. The hydro in all reasonable effors would be the best since it has stock LSD, great gearing, and are known to last for quit a while.

The Cable on the other hand, would be ten times eaiser to install but are known to have grinding problems.

The ITR is definitely the better transmission. It has great gearing, a limited slip, and dual cone synchros (no pesky thrid and fourth gear grinds!). Just keep in mind that at this time, Place Racing is the only company to sell an actual mount for a hydraulic transmission. And you will have to make an actuator. Hasport talks about a kit. But I will believe it when I see it.

type R is a very nice tranny, but i don't think that it is worth the effort to keep with the motor. i think you should sell that tranny, make a few $, then get a B series cable. the YS1 has very good gearing and is almost identical to the Type R in gearing.
