Check your connections in the distribution box.

I have a suspicion it could be your main relay. When the problem occurs and you can't start it, but it is turning over, give the under side of your dash on your left a whack and see if it will work. My car will turn over but not start on extremely (or not too extreme) days and this temporarily fixes it.

bump: the car did it again last night and would not start back up. it seems to happen when I give it gas real hard for a long time like a good 1st to 2nd pull. then while slowing down the battery light comes on and the car will not start.
since I was allready close to home I pushed it the 3 blocks while my girlfriend steered. I am fed up and would really like some help
-what are symptoms of an altenator going out.

I really need help last night i had about 17 bags of grocerys in the car, with alot of cold ****.

thanks

could it be a bad ground somewhere so the system isn't seeing the charge of the battery?

Check the grounds and make sure that everything is tight as to not cause any intermittant problems. Sorry I can't help more.

it sounds like it could be your alt going out.
is the belt tight?

if you have the car runnning and disconnect the batt, it should stay running, if not, your alt is most likely bad.
if it's intermittent, it sounds like it could be just the internals going out.

*saw that it's a 90 hatch wit a b16.. what year? jdm? alt could be flaky if it's an older motor for sure.

it is a 90 b16, the thing is that stuff like this always happens to me or friends cars.
we will do something that requires wirring and then when it is finished something goes wrong. It turns out being, either something old is going bad or you screwed up in your wiring, to much school and to little time to mess with it. maybe this weekend. For now i will just use the rex for transportation.

thanks everyone
Justin

ps keep it coming
