CTR ecu vs ITR ecu?
Tried a search, and could not find anything....
Can anyone tell me the differences between the two???
I know that 00-01 ITR ecus have the immobilizers.
So what is the difference between a pre 00 ITR ECU, and a CTR ECU?
Thanks

Red line is different, so fuel is different because of different rpms.......U have 1 CTR but have a couple of ecu's for ITR's (JDM, USDM, Canada, ex.)
Fuel/ignition maps should be different.
not should, will be.
not should, will be.
If the maps and rev limits are different, which is better to use with skunk2 stage 1 cams (I have a vafc which it will be tuned with as well) So which has a higher rev limit, and more aggressive fuel maps I guess?

I don't want a stand alone because I'm only running stage 1 cams, and personally I don't think its worth the money for just stage 1 cams.
Skunk2 says that the stage 1's are ok on my stock ECU and stock valve train. I upgraded the valve train so i can rev a little higher, and really only want the ECU so it will allow me to rev higher. I'm going to have Jack tune the car with the cam gears, and vafc.
I just wanted to know which out of the two ecus (CTR or ITR) would be my best bet.

As stated above, go with the CTR ECU.
Now finding one is the part I'm having trouble with!!!

Thats funny!!! What do they run???
I'm taking your guys advise and looking for a CTR ECU but so far all I have come across are pre 2000 JDM ITR's.
I am going to have Jack tune it after we do the install, so does it make that much of a difference between the 2 ecus?
Thanks again

Well Eric (vthokie) just gave me the email address for a guy named Kenji who programs ECUs. After talking to him I decided to get the p28 with a program for my specific cams.
Eric has the ITR ecu in his Si (he has a c5 swap) so when we get the cars tuned, I will swap ECUs one of the runs, to make sure I'm getting more power with the Skunk chip over Erics ITR ecu.
Thanks again for all your help.

Look at the Skunk 2 race car and tell me that is a stock ecu and not a stand alone......***** post *****.
True, they might be running stage 3 cams but if u want the best results.......
