i'm currently running stock coil w/ msd digital 6. do you think i think i should upgrade it aftermarket coil asap or those stock coil can handle power?

How much boost are you running? stock coil should be fine...works fine for me

 

Completely stock ignitions have seen past 400whp. I have personally pushed a completely stock internal/stock ignition gsr block to 18~19psi on race gas. I had no problems with blowing the flame out. Depending on your horsepower goal (under 500whp) I'd just run the MSD 6A.

 

well, right now...i'm just gonna make out the t3/t4 turbo that's currently on the car (<400whp). However, I prolly will go going back in the summer and pushing over 500whp. Guess i don't have to worry about it now when i upgrade my setup

it seems like the stock coil and ignition is good enough, but will the external coil with an ignition help a lot?
