APEXI N1 EXHAUST HITTING HEAT SHIELD, anyone?
My Apexi N1 cat back is hitting my heat shield at the second bent.
The installer said there is no way to fix it. It hits the heat shield
when air is going backward (close throttle)
anyone had the same problem and had it fixed?
removed heat shield?

It's to keep the heat from the exhaust system from radiating into the passenger compartment. Since the R has so little undercoating and nothing lining the inside of the car, this is a moot point.
Anything back of the catalytic doesn't get really hot (daily driving) anyways.

Big Phat R, did you remove the heatshield above the cat? I took mine off because my car sound cat was hitting it. I know the cat heats up a lot. Do you think i'll run into any problems?

Mine did this too. I mearly took a crowbar and slightly bent the heat sheild away from the exhaust piping. I decided to keep the shield and just bent it a bit.
Works great since

i wanted to take off the shield, but i had a shop bend the pipe(by the axle) a little bit and now there is no problem at all.
