GSR pistons in a B18A
would there be any benefits to using these? no modifications necessary, correct? How about B17 pistons? any improvement at all over b18 pistons?
Im using JE gsr flattop 9.8:1 pistons in my sleeved LS (b18a block). No problems at all, its all the same bore.
But...........
The valve reliefs are cut differently between the vtec and nonvtec. They are ok to use with stock cams, but if your gonna run some wild high lift cams you will want to clay the motor. Headgasket thickness will also play a role obviously.
This is my problem right now. I never bothered claying my motor during assembly, so i have no idea if I can run a big cam in it. The head is coming off this week to replace guides
so I guess I will clay it this time.

what would be the benefits of adding these just stock...I have heard b16 pistons in an LS will mate to the rods with no milling....boosting compression.,...how about the gsr pistons?
