Default Review on yokohama A032R

Im posting since the archive seach have been disabled.

Im looking for a tires that is good for trac use, mostly solo 1. I had toyo proxess ra1 in 205/50/15 and loved them. Im now looking for a similar tire in performance, handling, that can last more than 6000miles. I was thinking about the yokohama A032R, can someone give me a review
thanks

If you're going to use them on the street then go w/ the Yokohama A032-R. The tend to really like the multiple heat cycles unlike some of the other "R" compound tires.

They're not the fastest "R" compound tire out of the bunch, but they last a long time; it's a trade-off.

I like mine, great tradeoff for an R compound, sticky, but longer lasting. Like others said, not the fastest tire, but I really like mine

If you want a tire that will heat up quickly - then the A032R is not for you. I would say the Proxes RA-1 is a better tire because it's compound is softer (40 vs 80 for the A032R)

Pro's A032R - stiff sidewall, thick tread blocks with little tread squirm when new, excellent wear (i.e. can be daily driven), can be heat cycled a lot, good wet traction

Con's A032R - noisy hum at speed, heavy

I've been using A332R(205-50-15) on my R and they are great, they are my daily driven tires and as well as track tires(maybe three times a year). They are some great R compund tires that you can drive on a daily if yo ucan accept the noise. The noise are most noticeable when they are at about 40-60 mph. Other than that, last longer than I expect and I love them.

I used the AO32r on my ITR for a little over a year. Both as a street tire and track tire. It's a good all around tire for the $..

I also had good luck the the Escta V700.

I agree with this comment. I just got my tires re-mounted (outsides wearing heavily as compared to insides) on the wheels. I got 3 full days on them and expect to get 3-4 more days on them as well after re-mounting. Great R compound tire.

They are not DOT (Dept. of Transportation USA) approved tires - not legal for use on the street in North America.

haha, the world is weird.....thogth our Euro street laws are strong for aftermarket parts, but the A032 and A038 are street legal. Hence, the Lotus Elise comes stock with the A038R!!!!
