Default Who said preludes are slow? New best ET :)

Went out racing again this weekend I can't drive, but with my partner Sean driving the car:

12.71 @ 115.86 with a 1.96 60ft

This is a completely stock motor H22A1 with our custom turbo kit, hondata, and 22x8x15 slicks at 5600ft altitude with a full interior and air conditioning at 11lbs of boost

Nothing like watching a little honda pull up next to a full out dragster with 3 foot wide slicks making a deafening racket, and then beating his 13.1 time Vipers at this altitude do a best of 13.5 stock, and most C5's do mid 14's just to put things in perspective.....

WOW.. Those times SUCK!!!! That's almost 1.5 seconds off out here in SWMO...

Most stock C5s are runnin pretty close to 13.0's.. I think we are around 800-1000 ft. ele.

g00t runs

P.S. Learn to drive, so YOU can bask in the glory

Yep I would have done some better times (better than a 13.2) those last 2 runs, but the first one I couldn't get it into second, and the second the car was too hot and started popping up top...

You'll be low 13's once traction gets better

Thanks for the congrats everyone!

I've been flogging it at 11psi for a couple of weeks now.....including about 25 runs over 3 weekends at the dragstrip Won't need to rebuild the block unless an injector fails or the timing belt breaks, and hopefully that won't happen.....
I'll start building up a block this summer, then we'll see how much power a stock prelude motor is really capable of!

I think the car will hold 13-14 psi on race gas. The car has been runnig on pump gas. THose times are with 3 gals 91 oct. and 2 gals. 103 oct. Soon I will retune the car for more boost on c-16. I don't think moer power is waht the car needs now. BIGGER slicks should be the next money mod. Barely getting throught the traps before hitting the limiter in 4th. More power just puts the car in 5th at the line, axing any hopes of going low 12's. Boosted hondas i have done seem to hold 14 psi on stock engines up here. (Does altitude suck??, hell yes!).

Its not B's driving so much as his colgged fuking ears!! LOL
