Default hi-rev tuners rear disc brake swap

On hi-rice tuners this week they swapped these huge rotors onto an eg hatch. It had rear drum brakes and it seemed as though the swap kit came with an adapter that made it really easy to swap to rear discs. Does anyone make adapters like that or was there more to it that they didn't show?

p.s. The show sucks so if you want to flame on it i understand, i hate it. But when they were doing the brakes on an eg it caught my attention because the night before i spent all night on my piece of *** rear drums and i realized how much i wanted discs about half way through.

If your looking for OEM rear disc from a Del Sol Si*, Civic Si* or GSR*?? They will simply bolt right onto your current subframe and short of changing your parking brake cables to the ones for a disc rear end it's pretty easy to do and very cheap.

==> http://home.mpinet.net/~t-hero/DiscBrakes.htm

If your looking for big rear brakes, save your money and upgrade your fronts first since they stop your car and not your rears.

* note all these rear disc brakes are the same size an use the same calipers. Don't search for GSR brakes only and don't pay more then you should $200-$350

They used the "Baer claw" f&r brake package.

Oh I see. Them is some big rotors for such a little car.

And they are using at least 17" Focal F10 rims on that 4x4 Civic.

i read in an old scc that the crx si trailing arms will also work, that was not listed on the webpage you gave me but i'm sure the swap is the same. I am aware that most of the braking is done with the front brakes and i wasnt going to buy big brakes just for the back or anything. It just seemed odd that the swap was so easy on that show. Thanks for the link though it will be most helpful when i get rid of those damned ugly drums.

Hey guys, Doc is one of my really good friends, and I've seen first hand the EG hatch that they are working on right now, I also know the owner of the 3000GT with the airride(it's actually a dodge not a mitsubishi), and the owner of the black civic with the ramair hood. I helped Doc build his shop, which is called Why Drive Stock and is located here in Sarasota. He is a very smart guy and the show itself doesn't do him justice. Just to let you know, one of the new shows will be featuring a yellow Lexus IS300 with a CF hood getting a turbo kit installed. The car is currently in the shop right now getting a new stage 3 clutch and a Supra 6-speed installed! If you go and search under my name you'll see that I made a topic about Hi-rev tuners show last year telling you guys about the hatch and asking peoples opinions on the show and how they would like to see it improved upon. I hope it is starting to live up to some of your expectations.

Matt!!! Dude, once you get the hatch I sold ya painted, you should get them to do the H22 swap on HI REV... that would own for my old shitbox to be on TV. I actually like the new format, but they need to get rid of that Anne Poonanny or whatever her name is.

Yeah, I will present the idea to them and see if they want to do it or not. Maybe I can get them to sponsor some of the swap!!!!!!! That would definitely OWN!
