I just bought a set of CW ITR wheels for a great price. But there are chips in the paint and i was thinking of removing the rest of CW paint and giving it a new finish of GM. I thought about sandblasting the wheels....but is that the best way? Any other suggestions? Thanks!
aircraft stripper works well, but it is hard to reach all of the nooks.
I had mine media blasted with glass beads. It cost a little bit more than sand blasting, but is a little more gentle. It left a good surface for powder coating.

Thanks for the input! After removing the old paint, do i have to do anything to prep the rim (primer, sanding etc) before spraying the new layer of paint? Does anyone know the paint code for the stock GM wheels? I am planning to paint these puppies myself!
Thanks!

I recommend plastic media blasting. Unless the person really knows what they're doing, sandblasting could leave the wheels good for nothing but recycling for beer cans.
As far as prep work, I would put a coat of primer on them before painting.

anyway you can post a pic of the wheels after the paint comes off? I wanna take a look at how it looks. I wonder if it looks polished cause i personally like the polished look. Looks like bootleg NSX wheels ( BAby NSX, haha).

Seriously, the surface of the NSX wheels has been machined in such a way that it almost looks like a CD (i.e a faint rainbow like reflection)... That effect has never been produced in any of the pictures I have taken.
