Default ... swap options... 89 crx dx... (seached recent, archive still disabled)...

... what options are there?... i just got done reading through about 20 different posts... here's what i got:

d16z6 - 92-95 sohc vtec
b18a - 90-91 integra
d15b - 92-95 vti (jdm)
dohc zc - 88-91 dohc civic (jdm)
b16a - take your pick

... and now for the questions... which of these would be street legal (assuming the motor is the same year or newer)?... which ones would require a dpfi to mpfi conversion?... in order, which would be easiest to hardest to swap?... in order, which would be the cheapest?... in order, which would provide the most power in stock form?... in order, which ones would be best suited for boost (in stock form and mildly built with just pistons or pistons and rods)... if boosted, which ones would still allow for air conditioning and power steering (with a typical log-style manifold)?...

... woah, that was a ton of questions... hope i dont get flamed ... anyways, if you crx gurus can take the time to school a n00b and help me out (just got my first rex this weekend - woohoo ) i would really appreciate it... thanks...

cliff notes :
d16z6 - b18a - d15b - zc - b16a
which would you pick for an 89 crx dx and why?
consider street legal, ease of swap, price, power, boost-ability

*edit - typo

which of these would be street legal
which ones would require a dpfi to mpfi conversion?
which would be easiest to hardest to swap?
which would be the cheapest?
which would provide the most power in stock form?
which ones would be best suited for boost (in stock form and mildly built with just pistons or pistons and rods)
if boosted, which ones would still allow for air conditioning and power steering (with a typical log-style manifold)?

cliff notes :
d16z6 - b18a - d15b - zc - b16a
which would you pick for an 89 crx dx and why?
consider street legal, ease of swap, price, power, boost-ability
all would be legal except the zc
all would require a dp to mpfi conversion
easiest to hardest list, imo
1.)d15b
2.)zc
3.)d16z6
4.)b18a
5.)b16a
idk howmuch some of these go for, but here's about what i know(everything for complete swap)
zc, 300-700?
d16, 600ish?
b18a, 1500
b16a, 1500
power:
the only ones i know off the top of my head are the b18as
90-91 tegs 130 hp
92-93 tegs 140 hp
the best for boost would be the b18a, with the integra LS tranny
i know that the b series' wont be able to be boosted+ac+ps w/o a ton of custom fabrication.

i'm in the process of doing a turbo b18a swap into my 91 rex dx

hope i could help, and does anyone know why the archived search is down?

edit: when you bump your own post, there's no need to quote yourself

... thanks for the info... couple more questions though... is the b18a (90 teg) a direct swap?... or do i need mounts?... also, with boost, will i still be able to keep the ac and ps?... lemme know... thanks...

edit - also, what makes the zc not street legal...?

any engine that starts with anything other than a 'd' needs mounts. so yes the b18a will need mounts. with boost your power steering and ac are gone, unless you've got some great custom fabricating skill. someone on here had a b series swap and still has theit ac. and the zc is illegal, because it was never made the us
