Default The topic that is now locked...

Isn't it funny how a neat topic about a purely technical application has turned into some personal soapbox for certain members?

I find this to be quite disturbing; especially since I am interested in knowing more about this type of transplant.

Whether person A has a problem with person B, or person C has something to say about A and B together, is really quite irrelevant here. As are peoples opinions from all over hells half acre about people or things that may (or may not have) happend in some state or different country. Not to mention the preported bad buisness....

All of this crap has no place here.

Jeff seems to be at leaset reasonably technically compotent, and Christian appears to have opinions about Jeff. Fine, we do not have to like everyone we meet or talk to, but considering what this forum is for, I think that at the very least we should be respecting the TECHNICAL aspects of what this thread is about. Everything else should be handled privately through either email or down some dark alley.

Kapiche?

Good. There has been nothing to suggest (by this I mean EVIDENCE) that Jeff is not technically astute. There is also nothing to suggest that Christain's idea's or feelings are not well placed.

We are all growed up now, so we should play nice. Don't like something, don't acknowledge it. Got some other technical info, great bring it on.

I just want to know about this engine swap thing...

Agreed. I stopped reading all of Jeff's topics since I knew they'd all just turn into b!tch-fests anyways.... Who knows, I might actually be missing some valid, good technical discussions in those threads but the BS content in said threads isn't worth reading IMO..

sorry guys, i cant agree....how was that post helping ITR owners?

For it to help anybody it should have been in the hybrid forum...and i dont agree that it should have been locked. A lot of fishy things are coming to light and i think that we should know what is going on with some ppl or places....

I locked it.

your correct that it always turns into a pissing match. Sadly its a personality conflict and it seems to happen alot. I think if you have a question about that swap your better off taking it to IM or email with him for your answers. If a post gets to the point this one did....i'm locking or deleting it....simple as that. Its not so much that it got a bit out of hand personally so much as it went massivly offtopic. a bit off topic or a bit controversial? no biggy. combined? nah ain't happening.

El: I agree that it was "on-topic" perse. But at the same time, my point was that any post Jeff is involved in turns into a bitch fest no matter what the content.. I'm just sick of seeing people assaulting each other personally to such an extent on a "tech" board..

No offense, but look at the manner he posts in. You can feel the arrogance shine through. I'm not even going to begin to say I know everything. Hell, I probably don't know half as much as most people on this board. However, I don't enjoy reading posts that are arrogant, and as closed-minded as his are. I hope you guys don't take this the wrong way as I too enjoy technical info, but I'd like mine without the attitude please. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with his info but when you come across the way he does, people are bound to become offended. Is that so hard to see?

the problem dave is that jeff's posts involve normally a few things. one self promotion. I've told a bunch of people i don't care if you sorta promote your company as long as your contribution is there to the forum. Case in point SMSP products. If He came on here and said buy my header its the best and didn't add any content? seeeeee yaaaa. But he has. Jeff's posts come off that they(atomic)can do this for you and that for you. Thats sorta not good. Now all this controversy with endyn, smsp, katman whatever...well that just makes the pot not as tasty as well. If Jeff's post were like some of the other companies on this board....then i think people wouldn't jump...and would listen, discuss, learn and make conscious desicions. Thats how to get business. talk, teach, produce and the rest will follow.

This post was designed to be a reminder of what we are doing here... not a thread to voice opinions about peoples perceived attitudes, arrogance or whatever else...

How very true Lip. If someone would just half think of what they wanted to say things probably wouldnt get blown out of proportion.

Lip: Very true and I agree with what you said. But I still disagree that everyone needs to slam Jeff in *every* post. ****, it's been said in every post already, do we really need to continue with it? I _know_ why people are posting such replies to him, I just think it's going too far now and bringing every single thread he's involved in down with it.
