Well my friend has a 02' RSX base 5spd. So far he has neuspeed sports, 17" rims, and an injen intake. He has a nice stipend of cash to spend, approx 4k. He wants header exhuast first, so he is thinking dc sport. This summer he wants to go FI. What route should he take? I have a GSR so I could help him out if he had another integra, but i'm very unfamiliar w/ the RSX engine. Is JR ever going to make a supercharger for the base? Someone help us out, I would really like to see him take the right route for a quick ride.

 

If he has his heart on fi, see what road he wants to take. If he's going with a supercharger, tell him to check out the race header's comptech and jackson racing offer (assuming he doesn't mind running without a cat). I'm pretty sure jr is coming out with a supercharger for the base, but we'll see. If he's going turbo, there'll be no need for the intake/header now. Since no off-the shelf kits exist for the base just yet, he might want to either save his money or focus on susp. first.

 

Thanks. What would be a good shock for his neuspeed sports? He didn't wanna drop 500+ on koni yellows. I think right now he really has his heart set on JR. I guess he will just wait until the summer and see if they have somethign by then..

Tell him to trade the car and add that $4K for a down payment on a car that has more power to start with. then you can start off with a car thats got some gump, then add a few bolt on's to sqeeze out more power. Just my .02 cents.

 

His mom didn't want to pay for the insurance of a type S. Apparently it is a huge jump from the base rsx to the type s

 

K20A2 head swap, K20A pistons, K20A cams, K20A IM, Hondata ECU flash, lightweight flywheel, upgraded clutch.

Or he can waste the $4K on more crap.
