For those who don't need JDM bling:

Dynabatt Battery

IIRC, 5575B is the model with top posts (the model we would need), but check with them to make sure you are ordering the right one.

One caution about the Dynabatt though, it will die if you do not run the car for a few days (in my experience).

Did you see the price for the Dynabatt?

There really is no better choice for the money, IMHO.

Which cars have you known to use these batteries?

How have they held up?

I think it's interesting to note that if you paint a Dynabatt gray and put T1R stickers on it, it's the same thing as a T1R battery.

Marc -

Looks like your installs went better than ours this weekend...
1. B18C GSR Crank milled .25mm - useless
2. Source another crank Friday
3. Start Assembly on shortblock friday night, leave shop at 2am
4. Saturday morning, pick up where left off, get head assembled
5. 7pm saturday, torgue main cap - crank locks up
6. Strip down to smaller bearings - lock up
7. Try lowering TQ settings - lock up
8. Remove shortblock from engine stand and launch into EF hatchback trashbin
9. 9pm, begin assembly of JDM B16 shortblock - lower CR, but no other choice at this point
10. Its now 12:15 sunday morning...Ian has downed 12 Mountain Dews, Joel is using a cutoff tool on the Mugen pedals for some reason, Daniel is drooling over some lumpy Toda cams and its break time for me.
11. We will be at CMP, albeit with a little less CR and a little less TQ, but should still see 9500rpms

I've got an SBS battery almost identical to the TIR. You can pick them up at retail prices for $55.
