Default ... sohc vtec or dohc zc... which one?

... which one would be better base to start with and why?... i am currently looking at both options for a boosted crx... if i go sohc vtec, i am prolly gonna go with turbopanda's rod/piston combo... if i go zc, will turbopanda's combo still work?... if not, anyone have any suggestions for budget internal build-up?... lemme know... thanks in advance...

Read up on turbopandas thread....There is a post in there that states all the engines his setup will work on.

Here I found it...

his is almost getting to the point that it needs a FAQ.

Nathan used these in a d16y8. The d16y8 has a 75mm bore and a 90mm stroke length. Take the engine you plan to put them in and find out if that matches or
not.
that will tell you if they'll fit.

From the research I've done, these should work in all of the following:
ZC (d16a8)
88-91 SI (d16a6)
96-00 DX (d16y7)
96-00 HX (d16y5)
92-95 Si/EX (d16z6)
96-00 EX (d16y8)

In their current state, they don't appear to work in the rest of the d-series engines because they are 75mm x 84.5 These include:

88-91 HF (d15b6) (but why would you want to anyway?)
88-91 DX/LX (d15b2)
92-95 CX (D15B8)
92-95 DX (D15B7)
92-95 VX (D15Z1)
