Cluster problem w/Speedo and Tach
So I just installed an si cluster into my 92 hatch (which I bought yesterday after a long search!) and when I started it up, the speed immediately jumped to 20 and the rpms didn't work. I know it could be a broken tacho, but what about the speed? Thanks in advance.
I've had a similar prob. The speedometer still works fine along with the tach, however I do get the speedometer needle jumping when the engine is cold from time to time.
hey guys this may sound stupid but it worked for me... i bought an integra ls cluster and installed it in my civic, had all the correct wiring took about half an hour... i was pumped, my bro already did it to his civic, looks hot, worked awesome... when i started the engine, tach didn't work, speedo did.... i was like WTF???? i was about to give the guy i bought it from bad feedback, because he said it was perfect... i was pissed as hell, hooked it all up and it didn't work... well my friend who wasn't into cars in the least looked at it and looked at the circuitry in the back, he said try replacing that bulb...(referring to the one directly behind tach). i was like what's that going to do? he said, it looks like it's part of the circuit... well i switched it with another one.... guess what? it f***in worked!!!! we were so stoked! so... good luck, it worked for me.
