Default Break in Brake rotors?

I just got new autozone rotors and axxis ultimate pads, and I am getting different opinions on how I should break them in. One person tells me that I need to be easy on the rotors for 300miles or so... but I also want to bed in my pads... Another person tells me I don't need to break them in at all...

Any break in procedures for the rotors?
How should I bed in my axxis ultimates?

Thanks

breaking in rotors is called seasoning the rotors. basically what you want to do is gradually get them hotter and hotter letting them cool in between (ie- do it over a weeks time) this relieves the imperfections and stresses in the metal. look at the baer website for reference, they have a good article on it but i dont have the link off hand.
300 miles seems a bit excessive, a week of gettting a little more heat (ie harder and harder stops) should season them in nicely.
ideally you should season in the rotors with already bedded pads and vice versa, but shouldnt be that big a deal IMO if you have new ultimates and new rotors.

Another view-take your time and do a series of 3 sets of 3 stops from 40 to 0 very gently. Do this group over several miles worth of road and stop lights. Allow the rotors and pads to cool slightly between applications and sets. Repeat this process at 50 and 60 mph. A great way to get this done is to go to a mall and drive on the perimeter road. Around here we have enough open road and stop lights to get this done over a day or so. I might add that my Honda Tech recommended this based on what the factory recommends. I've done it with new rotors and pads and either new rotors/old pads or old rotors/new pads.

i've got a set of front and rear ultimates coming this week. should i go through and break them in like everyone says doing the 50-0 and 60-0 stops. i know they are "racing" pads.

edit
OPPS-- i meant to say that they are NOT racing pads my bad

Axxis Ultimates are not "racing" pads. You should follow these directions for your Ultimates:
