if i bring my car to honda for an inspection, will they be able to tell me if my odometer has been tampered with + will they be able to tell me how many miles r on my automobile?????? thx

 

getting a carfax report helps too... (carfax.com), or u can track the previous titles on the car from previous owners...

jus by looking at your car, u can't tell how many miles are on it, and honda can only tell u if ur odometer is working or not from a mechanical point of view...

as far as tampered with (i'm assuming cheating mileage), do what i suggested...

If the odometer has been tampered with without any documentation, then the car is classified as TMU (True Mileage Unknown). You can guesstimate the mileage from inspection records and whatnot, but it won't be very accurate - so no, there is no way to know exactly how many miles the vehicle actually has.

 

yeah honda won't be able to tell you anything about tampering with the cluster in your car. That's how easily they can be switched or tampered with.
