What's up guys, can I swap this motor into my 92 Lude??? I do not care if the ATTS works.
Is it as simple of a swap as the regular H22???

yeah, you can do it, but no, the ATTS won't work

 

I'm sure the SH will bolt up, there's a writeup for the H22A4 to 4th gen Si floating around somewhere....

 

It'll be a huge headache. The intermediate shaft from the 4gens won't bolt up, because where the base block has 3 bolts for the intermediate shaft, the sh block has 2 bolts for the ATTS unit.
Don't do it. This is coming from someone who has done it.

actually, if you have a complete swap...ie, the motor, tranny/atts, and half shafts, it will work as long as you have the appropriate ecu.

 

by the way, i'll be selling a complete H22a4 SH motor/tranny/ecu swap with only 6K miles on the 2001 car in about a month or so.

 

I am going to put my .02 in as well. DO not do this swap. The intermediate shaft won't bolt up, and it is too big of a headache to get into the whole ATTS deal. Just get a non-SH H22 and you will be good to go! No offense to GruvyTune, but this is not even worth it to do this swap.
