Shift Light wiring, where to hook up rpm signal?
if anybody can post pics or even a wiring diagram of where to hook up my rpm signal. My friend said its one of the dist wires, however he cant remember which one. Thx in advance.
yeah too bad it doesnt give a vehicle specific wiring diagram, and i dont have a helms for the 93-96 H22a. Thanks for trying.
Ok-the Autometer control box or tach for that matter connects to the BLUE wire on the distributor connector. Find a switched power sources under the dash and all will be good. Some people take the signal at the tach in the cluster, but the best place is at the dizzy. The direction sheet is available either on the website or you can request that Autometer send it to you. Remember that the light requires the control module if you do not have one of their tachs to connect to. (See the catalog online for part #)
if you could point out the wire in these pics that would be great, thx, and im hoping its one of the wires in these pics, haha

there's actually a blue wire up by the passenger side close to where the fuses are. I'll try to take some pics tommorow when the sun comes out.
on most honda's there a blue "tach test" connector. On the 5th gen's it's over on the pass side by the battery. Single blue wire going to a dual plug, hooked into a holder. I know 98 civic's have it on the drivers side.
do you mean this wire, sorry for being so persistent, im just worried about splicing into random wires that connect up to my dist. and not making my engine run right. thx.
