if i need a new water pump for a jdm b16a sir2 what pump should i ask for at a local parts store. and where is the water pump on my motor.

Get one for a 99 or 00 SI though

It should be located on the drivers side of the engine underneath that plastic cover. You should see a medium size gear about half way down to the right on the drivers side on the engine. Atleast that is where mine is.

Or one from a 94-97 Del Sol VTEC even though they are the same. Funny the autoparts store couldn't get me the 99-00 si one for a week but got the Del sol vtec one the next day. Oh well...
