Brake Pad Suggestions Yo...
Since the archives are screwed, I need to know what brake pads you guys recommend and/or have experience with. I'm gonna have to order a set on Monday and I was thinking about getting a set of non-OEM pads. This particular Integra isn't driven alot and is babied on the street going from college and work. But I'm gonna be attending at least 2 driving schools in the summer and fall where I'm gonna put the car through its paces and I wanna get your suggestions on something that may give me more bite than the OEM pads. Thanx...
I hear the R4S pads are pretty good for street and track. Almost no squealing.
I think if this will be your first time on track, a set of Ultimates would work well.Once you get comfortable with Ultimates and need something more out of your brakes, try the Cobalt GT-R.spec(VR). Austin and I reviewed them here:

Reason?
They faded very very badly on track, lost all of their bite, and the pad material cracked and crumbled. Granted, I'm hard on brakes, but I don't think they are a suitable track pad no matter what.
So for 2/3 track events a year plus street driving, the Axxis Ultimates are the best choice? Should I pair these up with an aftermarket brake fluid like ATE Super Blue or is the OEM fluid efficient enough?
You can get a set of Brembo blanks for pretty cheap too.
Colletti motorsports used to have a deal on Brembo blanks, Hawk pads, ATE Super Blue fluid, and Goodrich SS brake lines. I installed the kit on my GSR and the difference was incredible.
Then it caught on fire 2 days later. So maybe the kit wasn't such a good idea..

I'd have to agree about the Hawks. I have a set on my GSR right now (HP Plus) and they were put on with a fresh set or Brembo Blanks. When not properly warmed up the squeal like stuffed pigs. When I fist put them on they were GREAT. excellent feel. not they are faded relly badly, but they still look new... they are very rough on the disks and I would not reccomend them for the track. They also produce ALOT of dust...
I was considering getting a pair of Hawk HPS for the street, but now I think I'm gonna stay away from Hawk altogether.
I hopeing to see what people reccomend. I want a pad for the same reasons as you. %90 street (aggressive) and a few lapping, autocross 1/4 mile events...
I want NO Squeal if possible. I hate that ****...
I don't really care abour dust (that's what pressure washers are for!

I have hawk blues right now...they don't squeal at all, but they dust A LOT! However, their performance is great, very good stopping power, especially after you've done a little hard breaking. If you have white wheels, stay away from these, I think i'm going to scrap them after my upcoming lapping day.

I had the hawk HPS and they were great street pads, much better than stock, no squealing, they did dust a bit, but hey that just turns my silver wheels to gunmetal every few weeks

on track
To the original poster, you're going to be hard pressed to find a pad that is perfect for both street and track. Track pads usually squeal and dust too much (for most people's tastes) on the street, and street pads are usually not robust enough for track use.
Axxis Ultimates from Andie at Cobalt

I did three events on Axxis Ultimates for the front. I was very pleased. Ton of pad left too! Heavy dust though but not much squeaking.
I would also add superblue brake fluid, MC brace; either DIY or a manufactured one.
Call up Cobalt, they will take care of you!
Have you compared the R4S to any other multi-purpose pads?? (I.E. Axxis Ultimates, Hawk HPS)
