reccomended tires??
friggin dry rot got my drivers side front tire. SEARCH IS DOWN RIGHT NOW! and the searches i did before came up with crap. not what i was looking for at least. i want to know what kind of tires yall are using or reccomend. i was thinking about potenza re-730's. i have the re-92's or whatever right now. and i want something with really good handling and good life. looking to spend around $400 total for all 4 if possible (doubt it)
thanks for the help guys

I'll enter this discussion with my experiences. First the RE-92s worked great when brand new. Wear is not a good thing with them, but they do have good dry adhesion up to a point. Replaced with Sears/NTB Pirelli P8000 and they held up very well on the road but not as good for me on the track. Now running RE730s and they are terrific on hot/dry racing surface as well as a damp one. On the open road these tires work very well and the wear is excellent. These are all from my 5th gen. You might want to look into something like the Dunlop SP5000 for daily use as they can be had in a ZR rating. Had them on the Civic and that tire works really well for a daily and spirited driving situation.
I know there are other choices, but overall for the money the RE730 is an excellent choice. One other thing-there are NO really good tires for $100 apiece that I have found for combination use. The RE92 originally sold for $182 each aftermarket and the RE730 is around $130 installed.

I will never buy toyo tires, they suck ***. My tires ride like **** and when I took them to get them balanced the diameter of the tire was different throughout the tire (it basically looked like I locked up my brakes with abs) very shitty quality. Then my friend had some toyo's and hit a pothole on the highway, the tire developed a bubble on the sidewall, again shitty qaulity. Stay away from toyo.

Man listen to my story, I drive a 92 lude with a JDmH22 and i use to be all about looks but i have changed over time, i had some rota machspeeds that weighed around 23 lbs each but i traded em for some 16 inch rota slips which are i think around 12.5-14 not exactly sure with dunlop sp sport a2s. the tires are 225/50/16 which is HUGE but anyways these things grip just as good as my spec 2s did on the 17s. Honestly im very imprest with these but i want some smaller tires.
i got the falken ziex. grippy and has the rim protector. i heard nitto's bubble after a while.
Never get nitto nt450.. those are crap tires.. Kuhmo Escta Supras 712s are good, toyo proxies are good, yokohama AVS100 is good, but Michelin pilot sport, Dunlop sp Sport 9000, Falken azenis, Bridgestone pole position are ******* awsome..
thanks guys, i think i will be getting the re730's or the ziex 502's. if i could afford it i would get the pilot sports. but money is tight, so i will have to drive nicer for a while.

ok, so i got the Kumho ecsta supra 712's and i'm a tad bit dissapointed. they may be good for the straight and narrow but my RE-92's took corners better than these do, and the RE-92's had friggin 50,000 miles on em.
