do any of you R owners that have taken off your wing felt any differences?? +/-
No noticable difference around town or to work. 100+ is a different story, but I don't drive that fast.......very often
Since I took it off the rear feels a lot lighter... Last track day, I lost the rear and ended up doing a 360 degres in the grass(I should say that it was raining and the track was wet)! Sort of thing that never happened to me before... Never went to the track under wet condition before too!
I'm petty sure that the wing does make a difference... How big???
I don't know...
My .02$

My opinion is that the stock wing gives very little downforce - mainly a stabilizer at high speed. For street driving - I assume it has no effect.
I would never take my wing off. When I take long trips I regularly hit 130 mph and when I lift for the turns I am glad it's there. If your R is going to be a drag *****, go right ahead and take it off, you may even benefit.
It's been discussed here before, and if I'm not mistaken, the R wing gives creates 1% drag and 30% more downforce. At what speed I don't know. Even at its introduction in the US, I remember reading that the ITR wing was designed for downforce at lower speeds (around turns) as opposed to the GSR wing that was designed for high speed stability.
Not that I have an ITR or anything....
