Default crx b16a problem!!!!!!!!1

ok here it is i have a friends car 91 crx SI with b16a swap for some reason all of a sudden at revving it bogs like a little hesitation and will not rev past 7+000 rpms
no v-tec. then when u turn on the lights with the car of the temperature gauge goes up and the lights are very dim if that isn't enough info e mail meeh back if u can help or need a lil more thanx

bad ground. Check all your grounds, especially the valve cover to chasis ground. I had the same problem.

did you reattach the ground wire to the clutch cable mounting point. That little wire does some pretty wild stuff when not attached. Alsom make sure the power and ground are hooked up in the main fuse box on the shock tower. I have done both these between a my swaps and they make life very frustrating. Also, is the speedo cable attached properly and the speedo working. If not VTEC will not enguage. Well, those are just a few suggestions. If that is not it, get out a volt meter and start running a continuity test on each wire fron sensor to ecu. If its not a ground, its a crossed wire or two somewhere, I have done this before as well.

want to know something else that's wak, VTEC won't engage if your cluster isn't connected. Sounds like a bad ground to me

yes because the speedo cable must be attached at both points, with no cluster on OBD-0 it throws a vehicle speed sensor code...
