Default old question

Im sure this question has been asked more times then you guys care to remember but will the shocks and springs from a 2000 Si fit a 1998 cx hatch? The reason Im asking is if I sell my Si I want to buy a cx hatch and put my spings and shocks on that. Thanks

thanks, I started putting that there when I used to post alot on Dsmtuners.com, man those HATE, let me repeat that HATE hondas with a passion. They used sport stupid sigs like "you mean that my moutain dew bottle has more liters than you car" so i decided to put that up, that really pissed them off.

I know this is a lame question, I was just not sure because the motor is different, so I wasnt sure if the front suspension componets were the same. I know the back is the same. Any info? thanks.

they will fit, but they will just be different spring rates.....the springs and shocks from civic are interchangeable from 92-00....so they will fit, just different feel to them when you ride in it.....

sweet, thanks, Im not to worried about the spring rates, i it will be alot stiffer, but i plan on doing a b18c1 swap or a b16 swap. So the extra rate in the front will be nice.

Never put Si springs on a CX. Never, never, never. There are lots of guys on ebay that would try to sell it to you saying it will be an improvement.

There was a guy that did exactly that. Yes, it fits 100%. His CX became the rolling joke for a long time, until he removed it. It look so lifted at all four corner that was not even funny, when he expected low.

A set of lowering spring is your friend. Don't try to save $$$ by using Si springs/shocks.

just a question to go along with this. i recently took a set of Apex'i WS threaded body coilovers off a 2000 EX and installed them on a 2000 Si. cars had the same stuff done to them to be exact, and we even had them weighed at the landfill (cant remember #s right now). on the EX it sat pretty good and low, but once on the Si the car drug the damn ground. so my question would be...what makes the Si suspension that much lower cause i know its not the springs and shocks.

golowdrew, i should have put what i was really questioning, I have a 2000 si right now with koni yellows and eibach sportlines on it, i want to keep the suspension and put it on a hatch that i want to build. but thanks for bringing up the concern, i would have never thought it would have lifted it using the stock items.
