Default Question about shock disposal

This is probably a really stupid question but.... I have some old rusty shocks sitting in my garage from a 1996 hatch, can I just throw them in the regular garbage or would they explode when crushed by the garbage truck, and so would I have to dispose of them some other way?

They take just about anything in your regular garbage. You can try going to a junkyard or scrapyard to see if they'll buy it for scrap, though. If not, they will probably just take it off your hands at that point.

ic, I guess I'll just put them in a bag and throw them in the garbage can then.
