lately my car has been making this pinging noise at around 2k rpm. My dad says I need to use premium gas to make it stop but the car should run fine on regular according to the owners manual. I use mid-grade usually but is there any sort of maitenance I'm missing to get this to stop?

 

what mods do you have done?

maybe time for some new plugs and wires?


check timing.

no mods right now. I thought maybe plugs would be it, I just wanted a second opinion since I'm a retard when it comes to cars.
