It's funny you said that.

I was reading this thread and thinking that it was a little different in the RSX/EP Forum than it is in other HT forums.

The only down side is that the "feel and performance" people and the "looks and ride" people could end up confusing each other at some point, leading to both groups owning products that they're not satisfied with.
Yes, but this is "Honda-tech". So, it's assumed that lowering questions would be performance related and not looks related. If someone is going for looks, then the appearance forum or ephatch.com is a good place to go.

This is why a mod needs to be appointed to get this forum going in the correct direction, but I won't harp on that subject again.

Based upon the description of this forum "RSX & EP3 Basic Questions to Performance How To's", I don't believe that there should be an assumption that all discussion here is or should be performance oriented. If that is or should be the case, then the description should read "RSX & EP3 Performance-Based Discussions Only". The description as is runs the gamut from what I feel the original post represents to the current 2.4 "big block" discussion. I agree the original post could have been worded so that it was more specific, but I cannot see why the post would not apply to this forum, as the forum is described in its title.

Of course, if this forum is to follow that criteria, the discussions of anything other than stock would need to be discussed in the proper context. If one wanted to discuss the availability of a CTR knock-off rear spoiler, one would need to qualify their post first as a "interested in negating negative lift in the rear" so as not to get chided or otherwise flamed for being interested in appearance only.

I agree that misinformation, or at least conflicting information can result from performance-minded people being in the same discussion as appearance-minded people, but I feel it remains the responsibility of the viewer/reader to filter out the "wheat from the chaff" in these discussions. In any case, restricting posts here to performance-only discussion certainly won't aid in educating the appearance-oriented only person to the benefits of performance-oriented modifications and bolt-ons.

Oh yeah! This was about springs wasn't it? Make mine Pro-Kit!

Point taken. My main gripe was with the original wording (or lack thereof) of the original post.

I realize appearance questions will come up every now and then, which is fine, but people posting questions in broken english about slamming their rides really needs to be thwarted.

Heck, I'll probably post something about my JDM rear wing when I get it in, but I guess I was somewhat going to the extreme trying to prove a point with this forum.
