you cant touch the instant turn in of the 50 series sidewall... who cares if the speedo is off a bit? plus $79 bucks a tire for S03's is pretty hard to beat - the S03's get my vote - I love em

If I had to do it again with S-03's, I'd get 205/50. After driving around on my 205/50 Azenis for a few weeks, I really don't want to go back to the 195/50 S-03's. Too small, bumpy, and over-reactive now that I have something to compare them to, along with the RE-010's.
BTW - If you can get RE-010's for that price, why not get them? On Tire rack they are $158, or more.

I really don't like the Azenis on factory wheels. Too much slop in the steering, very noisy, wear like butter. SP8K's were good affordable tires, much better ride than the Azenis and weren't stuffed onto the rims either. Toyo T1-S is a good tire as well in the OEM or 205/50 size. They've even got a 215/45/15 size which sounds nice on wider wheels of course.
FYI. The S-02 PP is available in Europe in the size 195/55R15 for $100. I will try that one next time....
I have the S-03s (195/50R15) now, they are good and cheap but they are kinda heavy....

I haven't used a tire yet on my car that has the agility of the 010's, especially on the turn in.
However, I do love the Azenis, and the S0-3's, but I haven't use the 195/50 or the 205/50 size S0-3's.

I love the azenis, but I think they are even a bit too wide for my 6.5" wheel, so I could see why some would think it could be sloppy on a 6" wheel. That is why I am in the process of looking for a 7" wheel.
However, a ton of people here rave about them on stockers or Millenia wheels, and don't talk to much about the problems. Remember the sidewalls on the azenis are very stiff. My vote is for Azenis

I just switched from my winter tires (SP Sport 5000s) to the Ecsta MXs, 205/50/15. WAY less sidewall flex, I wa paranoid about it too, almost went with a 195/55. I'm REAL glad I didn't.
First off, I bought my R with 712 back in July (still installed) and they do the job. Good grip on dry street, great grip on wet street use, and I guess I'd say average grip on dry road course use. For my 1st HPDE last year, they faired well for me. I have 195/50 PZeros waiting for install after Expo.
