im getting a cfh soon and i wanted to know what fits best the cut or rolled edged. i was thinking on getting a fiber images does anyone have a picture of the fitment. has anyones hood turned yellow like my old VIS hood. BTW the vis hood i had also fit like shiet. 1/2 in gaps. the latch didn't even fit.


VIS CFH in 5 monthes it was yellow

 

I think the VIS hood you are referring to was the first generation one..

the second generation, or "new" VIS hoods have really good fitment, rolled edges, and a strong latch..


the best fit I think you can get is with photoshop




I will probably get a VIS CF hood in the future

 

The old VIS ones did turn yellow. I have not seen tht happen to there new stuff. Our hoods fit good. Our molds are pretty new.

rolled edge would look better asthetically.

 

They should fit the same, but the rolled edge looks better. I wish mine was rolled, but I've had a Fiber Images hood on my hatch for about 2.5 years, and I love it.

 

u photochoppd the moldings?? or did you remove them? looks chopped to me...thats a nice car tho..

ViS is what I had on my teg, and it was awesome. didn't even need pins.

 

yeah wow I totally forgot I photochopped the moldings off too.. was a quickie
