Default Best CF Hood

Looking to know what the highest quality hood is...Thanks for your input. I have a Carbon Creations now, and I just ordered a Fiber Images...after looking at their website, it looks like an indestructable hood. Plus, it's made of straight CF all the way through, not a fiberglass hood w/ carbon on it.

well for a vis hood you are looking to spend and 350 and for a fiber images you are looing at about 500 for a hood.

right now i have a vis on the hatch. but that cuz i got it cheap from a friend. its a really good hood. but the fiberimages is better IMO

Carbon creations, while a little on the higher side of price, is the only company that I know of for sure that guarantees you don't need hood pins. I don't like hood pins myself and is why I like that hood.

I had a fiber images hood, lasted 4 years before needing to be replaced because of yellowing. Should have re-cleared it... Plus it's a very strong hood.

I really liked my VIS hood until i went and got my swap then it left a gap. But with that gap and my swap i never had a problem with it and it never flied off or anything. No hood pins either but now i have some .

VIS all the way perfect fitment without pins.
I've had it about 2 years now with monthly waxing and it's still in great condition.
And VIS is the only one i've seen where the underside of my hood is a carbon fiber exoskelton. Only complaint is i wish it didnt come with wiper nozzle cutouts.

My BKNW I bought was flimsy and delaminating from day 1. Their customer support sucks!

Try to find a used Benen hood.

I had good luck with both of my VIS hoods.

Another almost unknow company is Hammerhead aviation. They make commercial plane parts but got into the cf hood business. Ther hoods are the best I have seen. http://www.hammerhead-aviation.com/Hoods.htm

Hammerhead Aviation seems like a good product, but not sure if they are going to produce anything for 99-00 or any newer models.

i'm surprised no one has said Spoon, they probably have the best fitting and quality hoods but have the highest price...

He just told me he was driving down the freeway at 100 mph doing 5 psi of boost with the hood "popped" and it STILL didn't move. That is a strong hood if you ask me. His still looks like *** though.
