my headlights have been painted the same color as the body of the car. i want to paint them black. i have read all the procedures on this site and i'll follow one or the other but my question is.

since its already been painted, should i do anything before i put primer and the black paint? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

 

You could scuff it up with a bit of sandpaper, that would probably set you pretty good if you are still concerned.
