they have another harness for first gens so you can use the odb0 ecu that comes with the engine. Which I believe is far better than using some hacked up pos ecu thats over priced. Save your money and either got the other harness or completely rewire your car to odb0 or odb1 depending on what engine you want to run. I on the other hand am staying with my carbs.

 

ok so a b18c5 in a 1986 crx si. i need to know everything i need to wire this motor up. so info info thanx guys i am dumb as hell when it comes to ecu. i just want the best ecu for b18c5 in 1986crx si. keep in mind i will be adding goodys. bolt ons or what ever. i am really confussed like certan things onley working with certan ecu's wierd like coils and such???? please help!! lol told you i am stupid when it comes to ecus!!!!

 

I believe you should step down to something most affordable and get it done by a shop if its that confusing. The b18c5 is a odb1/2 motor I believe which would inhand mean you would have to do custom wiring. Also the transmission will not work because its hydro and your CRX is cable.

 

i can do the swaping part bro. all the wiring is what i am stuped on. lol lol shop lol i allways workon my own car. sorry bro. i know what tranny i need s1 camble tranny. I need to know if i should sell the ecu and wire harness that comes with the b18c5??? i no i am selling the tranny. just need to know what ecu to use and wiring harness ??? even if it need costom wiring i can have that part done

Allso, i found out i am goin to be runnin a hondata. I was told i need obo1 i think thats what it's called. But i know its the 1 with the #1 in it. Ok my ? is what all do i need?? for this to work?? i mean can i use any stock wires from my stock ecu?? or dose it need to be brand new all the way from ecu to motor???? I was told the stock 1986 crx si is not to diffrent from obo1 is this true ????? could i use any old wires or do i need to run all obo1 from the ecu to the motor?? If thats what it is even called i don't know. lol lol not sure, but it's something like that i know
