RACTIVE CAI ??
I've got a ractive short ram intake and k&n filter, and a ractive fireball
muffler. My car is crazy fast and sounds great too.
I dont think you can mess up a pipe.
Just change your filter to k&n

I wouldn't put anything on my car from Ractive.
I agree.
BTW, the design is a copy of the K&N Ramcharger that is sold in JAPAN.

AEM nets a total of 3hp gain on ITR.
For that price?
Forget it. Get a short ram and a k&n.
You'll be louder and there wont be that much of a difference.
Save your $ for good upgrades

I wouldnt put Ractive crap on an 85 civic nevermind an ITR
As far as how can you screw up a pipe, well yes you can, if you notice the Injen intake makes a few more hp than the AEM, Because of Good Pipe design

Loud is cool
Were talking about very minimal amounts of horsepower here.
I guess I have this opinion because I squeeze nitrous on my R.
When you have power a couple of points doesnt mean much.

well guys; I had a home-made CAI on my SIR prior to my AEM and the (brand name) AEM didn't give me 1 single horsepower more.
dyno stock : 139.3
custom CAI: 144.8 $ 10
AEM cai 3'' : 145.1 $200
and to let you know I rather spend my money elsewhere than on brand name products that will NOT give me more HP.

Ok lets not talk performance wise how about quality wise.
I had one Customer come in with one of those POS intakes and he had a slight problem, on the filter there is a small metal cap which since it was low quality fell off because the glue heated up and let go, the cap went into his TB holding it open at full throttle, he almost smashed his car into some pedestrians. Not too mention the damage it would have done to the engine if it went past the TB
Another one had a similar problem where part of the metal intake itself fell apart.
BTW I didnt sell them these intakes they were reffered to me to get better ones. If you want a long style CAI try the Injen

Alright. Lets talk about quality. no problem.
Didn't AEM just do a massive recall on their cai?
I think it had something to do with the fact that there were parts that
were coming loose and flying into the intake manifold.

Yeah the filters are kinda shitty, but once again its not worth $200
to buy a pipe. Just get a generic one and put a k&n filter on.
Best bang for your buck. Thats what im saying.
You cant go wrong with a k&n
