Default Has anyone replaced their tie rod ends before?

I busted the thread on both sides when installing my Teins awhile back and decided its time to change them..does anyone know how to? I have a helms but i want to be sure on a few things since this impacts my steering...from the helms i know i have to loosen the nut while holding onto the tie rod end..then i screw off the tie rod end right? (while holding on the tie rod arm to make sure that doesnt move) i heard about something like you gotta mark how far the tie rod end screws into the arm? or does it screw all the way as far as it can into the arm?

Use whiteout to mark where the end was before. Or you can count turns... but if you drink when you work on the kar, you forget really quickly.... Other than that, hold the tie rod end in place with the blade part (where you'd put a wrench on to adjust toe) and thread the end off.
