Default Chikara headers by Hedman?

Does anyone have any experience with these, they are cheap and a supposed good design with stepped primaries and an equalizer tube. But I have heard from one person on this board that there is a problem with the welds. I know you generally get what you pay for and would like a D/C or Edelbrock, but I'm planning on going turbo later, so I don't want to spend too much.

I've got chikara's on my d15b7. They work fine, they look like **** though. Gave me a LITTLE horsepower, DC is alot better though, I can say that by experience.

Chikaras are good for the money i suppose

Chikara sucks, I almost bought one for my integra, but then I went the DC route. It doesn't matter what finish you get on Chikara, it will look like flaking spray paint in a few days after install. You'll be lucky to get one or two hp out of them.

I had the regular tork step on a D16z6. I went from stock exhaust to header,racecat,2" cat back. I had much better top end and no loss of low end. The tork step thing sounded like a gimmick to me but they were out of the plain one. So I would say get them and put extra $$$ towards turbo

pretty wide range of view, on http://www.hadamotorsport.com/tech/r...emc/index.html they had some decent info. well thanks guys. MAybe i can find a used D/C and if not I just may try the Chikara's, then invest in the turbo...
