I went to a local junk yard to get a injector resistor box for a MPFI swap I'm doing right now. I couldn't locate one. As I was leaving there was a wrecked GSR. Beautiful car, just smashed to hell. I opened the hood and it still had the engine.

To make a long story short I asked the guy how much he want for it and he said, "2." I reply,"2 what?" I'm think thousand. He replies, "$200." I about pissed myself. I pulled the cash out and told him I want it. I got the full swap for just under $300, axels ECU, Shift linkage, tranny......

man you got HOOKED up. every junkyard around here rapes us for parts/engines/etc. i asked about a d16z6 a while back and the junkyard guy told me $1,000! anyway, congrats on the major hookup. what year is the motor? how many miles are on it?

It's really clean. I'm probably gonna replace the major gaskets and clutch this weekend.

If you're still looking for the resistor box I have a JDM one that came with my swap, it should work fine for you.

 

Man o man...some pleople have all the luck. At that price you could do a nice rebuild and start with a fresh motor.

 

I was just at the slavage yard a few minutes ago. He is pulling the engine now, I can pick it up tomorrow. I'll post some pics of it too. He also sold me te 4 wheel disk conversion for $100. Will the rear trailer arms bolt up to my 90 hatch. It is a 92 GSR.

Nice.....Even if the engine is shot, you still can get your money back through parts........When you are finished I would like to see some pics of it.......Great Job! If you were there 15 minutes later I am sure that it would not be there anymore.....
