i want to put a new header on my 2000 civic d16y7 but i am confused about what to do with the second o2 sensor...?? can i just take it out? if i do will the check engine light always be on?

i was also told that i would need to get a obd1 to obd2 adapter and a new ecu if i dont want the engine light always on...is this true??

is there an easier way around this problem??

can i take the second o2 sensor and wire it in to the other one so that they both read the same signal???
