I just got off the phone with Greddy and they said the "Blue Box" kits are now smog legal.

I don't know if this is news to anyone else but I thought I'd post it.

 

Yeah, just confirmed, Greddy now has the EO# for their blue box kits. However they don not apply to any other year than JUST the 92-95. Some good news though is that Greddy will be releasing later this year a kit for the 96-up SOHC's that will have a slightly beefed up turbo and components, WITH it's own EO#. Price will prolly be a bit higher too. More than likely this kit is being produced in response to the D16Y8 kit that will be coming out from Edelbrock, which is pretty complete with a Tial BO and Spearco ovesized intercooler. Price on the Edelbrock kit will most likely top the $3000 mark...

 

if the 92-95 kit is used in a crx with a 92-95 sohc ex swap... is it still street legal?...

 

yes, go by the motor complience not the chassis, ie 92-95 motor - 92-95 turbo kit, OK
