4 Swaps to do by next Weekend
Tonight I started my 1st of 4 swaps. It's a DOCH ZC into a 90 CRX DX. I got the engine out in about 2 1/2 hours with the help of air tools. Tomorrow I got to wire the MPFI. Then Saturday I'm dropping the ZC in it. Sunday I'm driving to Canada to pick up a B16A and an H22. Monday I'm dropping the B16A in my 90 hatch, once that is done I got to install the H22 in a 92 Civic DX. The last swap is a D16Z6 into an 89 CRX HF. Any advice? I'm gonna be busy as hell.
I cleaned the garage really good, set up all my tools, and am trying to keep all the bolts together without losing any or mixing them up. Ususlly I put 2 cars in the garage but I'm only doing one at a time. I'll just roll them in and out as needed.
Put all your bolts in baggies and label them. Make sure that you have ALL the parts for each swap. Nothing worse then startin a job and you cant finish it becuase you dont have the parts on hand. Sounds fun
Good Luck!

I'll have lots of pics too! The ZC and the D16Z6 are mine and my buddies. We just sold those engines. I'm doing the swaps. I picked up the B16A and he got the H22. Those will go in our cars.

Thanks for the offer. Last time I did a swap I had to many friends getting involved....too many hands in the pot. Two days after the swap the axel came out of the tranny cause it was put in imporperly. I like to do everything myself, that way I know its done right and if it does go wrong I'm the only one who can be blamed.
Take what ever time you plan on having it done by and times it by two, that's how it usually works out. I'm trying to just get my B16 in by April 4th and that's starting to look like a challenge.
sounds like my kinda week........ive been doing a ton of swaps lately, and take that dudes advice and add at least a few hours to each one, if ya come out ahead, great, if ya dont, you wont be so let down when it takes you longer.......good luck dude, let us know how it goes

Make sure you clear plenty of bench space... and i like tupperware instead of bags... you can get a cheap set at walmart or whatever and i think it organizes better... but its up to you!
